FOCUS


 FOCUS:  The Fellowship of Christians in Universities and Schools (FOCUS), is an evangelical and discipleship ministry, which ministers to students at private schools. They serve over 350 private schools from Washington , DC , Grosse Point , Michigan , to the Northeast, Fairfield , CT. and Westchester N.Y. , bringing the Gospel to students and faculty, leading them to Christ.

The ministry reaches students in two ways. Regional staff members work with volunteers, students, and faculty to create opportunities for the students to discover and grow in their faith.  God's work is furthered through the FOCUS Study Center on Martha's Vineyard , which has both evangelical and discipleship programs throughout the summer.  (This is what one girl said about going to "god camp":  "I came as a girl dying to leave, but left as a girl dying to come back".)

Dan and staff meet with students on campus and off campus several times during the week, and during vacation programs such as working along side Habitat for Humanity. The leaders weekly devote their time to middle and high school students to share the Gospel through skits, praise music, Bible study, and sports. FOCUS is very effective in reaching students for the Lord. FOCUS has seen many life changing experiences in our students.

PCOG is supporting three Focus workers: Dan Walker, Pam Klein and Jessica Heard in Fairfield County (including Greenwich ) and Westchester , NY .
